Junk Drawer

I will be the first to admit that I like junk drawers! Why? Because it’s a great way to store and organize the leftovers - items that are too small or too few to warrant a “place” all their own, that refuse to be “categorized”, but are still useful and needed.

 

Notice that I say and organize the leftovers!

 

This junk drawer contains the little things that I think are fun and informative,  collected here together in one place.
Text Box: Myth Busters: I can’t emphasize this enough - organizers do not come in and throw everything out! (except the real garbage) Tidy is not always organized and organized is not always tidy - don’t be fooled by the clear floors and made beds. Space may also be underutilized; one item on a shelf is tidy, but underutilizing that space. Text Box: Tips: Throw out the real garbage - pizza boxes, newspapers, dried up nail polish, etc. Return - Return - Return! Save your receipts and take back anything that is not serving you - save space and $$$ Use what you already have in new ways; break free of functional fixedness!

· Consignment shops

· Have a garage sale (weather permitting)

Disposing of Hazardous Waste & Electronics:

 

These items cannot be put out with your regular garbage.
